Iowa Electrathon

Welcome to the Alliant Energy Iowa Electrathon!

The Iowa Electrathon program promotes research, design, building, and racing Electrathon cars for high school, collegiate, and adult teams.  The goal of the Iowa Electrathon is to demonstrate and improve the viability of electrics as an alternative energy solution. The program provides a means of teaching young people how to evaluate alternatives and make sustainable lifestyle choices, and uses a problem-solving discipline to design and build an efficient vehicle, all in a hands-on and team-oriented approach.
