Iowa Renewable Energy Production Tax Credit (personal)
Wind:
• 1.0 cent/ kilowatt-hour production tax credit including electricity used for on-site consumption.
• Available only if owners have not received Iowa property tax exemption for renewable energy systems.
• Tax credit may be applied toward the state's personal income tax, business income tax, financial institutions tax, sales and use tax, or energy replacement generation tax.
• This credit was formerly not available to facility owners that received the state's property tax exemption for renewable energy systems, the local option special assessment of wind energy devices, or the sales tax exemption for wind energy equipment.

• 1.0 cent/KwH for 10 years after facility begins producing energy for 2 MW - 30 MW systems used for self-generation.

Iowa Energy Center/Alternate Energy Revolving Loan Program
• Eligibility: Individuals and groups who build alternate energy production facilities in Iowa
• Up to 50% of financed project cost at 0% interest rate
Cedar Falls Utilities:
• Interest-free loans to help families make their homes more energy efficient.
• Borrow up to $10,000 to purchase eligible furnaces, air conditions, heat pumps, insulation or renewable energy generating systems.
• Loan payment of $84.00 is added to the borrower's utility bill each month.
• Term of loan: 1 year for each $1000 borrowed.

Mid-American Energy:
• EnergyAdvantage® Financing Program offers Iowa residential energy customers below-prime financing on installation of qualifying energy efficient equipment.
• Financing applies to qualifying new heating and cooling systems, water heaters, insulation, and replacement windows.
• A 6-month good as cash options is also available.
• Customers may choose a rebate OR financing option, but not both.

Alliant Energy
• Interstate Power and Light (Alliant Energy offers low-interest loans for residential, commercial, and agricultural customers who purchase and install energy efficient measures.
• Loan terms of 12 months or less are eligible for a no-interest loan
• Loans longer than 12 months eligible for 6.9% interest rate.
• Only qualified equipment and contract labor costs are eligible for financing.
