Peoples Community Health Clinic Garden

The Peoples Community Health Clinic Garden is one part of the Clinic's holistic approach to health. The urban garden, located next door to the clinic, offers and educational space for clients interested in learning more about food as well as providing fresh locally grown produce at no charge to all of Peoples' clients.

Free Produce Distribution

During Peoples Community Health Clinic Produce Distribution, seasonal produce - grown in Peoples Garden - is displayed on a table in front of the clinic. This produce is given away to patients of the clinic for free, patients can take the amount suitable for them.

A Garden in Every Lot (GEL)

Inspired by the Greater Landing Food Bank's Garden Program, this program aspires to accomplish what it's named for; helping to establish a garden in every lot in the Cedar Valley. Learn more on our Garden in Every Lot page.

Home Delivery Program

The Home Delivery Program is a collaboration between a number of community partners who recognize the importance of food in connection to wellness. Through this program, Peoples Community Health Clinic, We Arose Co-op, UNI-CEEE, Waterloo 5-2-1-0, and local producers partner to bring fresh, local produce to the doorsteps of the community.

Incubator Farm Research

Research and planning for an incubator farm in the Cedar Valley is currently underway! Incubator farms are spaces which address land access, help build infrastructure, connect farmers to markets, and assist in the education of communities and growers alike.
